The latest round-up of some of TCOS’ favourite tracks from the last week!

When The Weather Changes – The Nagging Doubts

Australian post-punks The Nagging Doubts have released their second EP Autocalm, a generous seven-song offering that offers a diverse range of guitar-driven sounds. The pick of the bunch is ‘When The Weather Changes’, an explosive number of irresistible intensity and presence led by the directive vocals of Ruby King.

I Serve Not – The Novus

Birmingham-based group The Novus have delivered ‘I Serve Not’, the first single from their debut EP Thaleia Standing. Carried through the track are sinister touches of Joy Division and Killing Joke which give the track a jagged, darker edge, making it impossible to ignore.

You Only – Silvertwin

Alongside announcing their self-titled debut album out in July, London group Silvertwin have released a new single ‘You Only’. This is one for fans of the likes of Squeeze, Aztec Camera and XTC – the hooks and melodies are utterly addictive, all held together by a tight backing. Check out the new video for ‘You Only’ below!

The Source – Bahla

Genre-fluid group Bahla have released their second EP Life Long, an incredibly groovy and hypnotic collection of tracks that bring together a whole host of influences. ‘The Source’ is a Metronomy-tinged number which you simply have to tap along to, it’s a spellbinding track. Check it out below, and look out for TCOS’ review later this weekend.

Introvert – Little Simz

If you missed the return of Little Simz this week, take a chance to catch-up on her gargantuan single ‘Introvert’. Reminiscent of the defiant sounds of SAULT, it’s an unforgettable number of power and resilience.
