When The Weather Changes – The Nagging Doubts
Australian post-punks The Nagging Doubts have released their second EP Autocalm, a generous seven-song offering that offers a diverse range of guitar-driven sounds. The pick of the bunch is ‘When The Weather Changes’, an explosive number of irresistible intensity and presence led by the directive vocals of Ruby King.
I Serve Not – The Novus
Birmingham-based group The Novus have delivered ‘I Serve Not’, the first single from their debut EP Thaleia Standing. Carried through the track are sinister touches of Joy Division and Killing Joke which give the track a jagged, darker edge, making it impossible to ignore.
You Only – Silvertwin
Alongside announcing their self-titled debut album out in July, London group Silvertwin have released a new single ‘You Only’. This is one for fans of the likes of Squeeze, Aztec Camera and XTC – the hooks and melodies are utterly addictive, all held together by a tight backing. Check out the new video for ‘You Only’ below!
The Source – Bahla
Genre-fluid group Bahla have released their second EP Life Long, an incredibly groovy and hypnotic collection of tracks that bring together a whole host of influences. ‘The Source’ is a Metronomy-tinged number which you simply have to tap along to, it’s a spellbinding track.
